Most car squeaks and rattles occur as cars age and screws and connectors loosen causing parts that were once stationary to move and vibrate with the cars engine. The noises can come from under the hood or within the interior of the car and it can be difficult to track down the cause. Many drivers dont know which sounds are just annoying and which signal a need for repairs. Tracking down the source of a noise can help drivers decide if the need a trip to the shop.

While the liability cover for working professionals was only applicable for a few categories of people, such as lawyers and doctors, today, a policy of this kind can be applied to practically any activity. As a constructor, your client might sue you because the building you have just built has some problems, or if the terms of the contract are not respected. The movie production company could sue even an actor because his acting was not great. In simple words, his clients can sue any person at any given moment.

The liability coverage has different options, and it comes in different packages. Some policies of this kind cover only potential financial losses suffered by the respective clients, while a complete package of this kind will also cover risks such as material and moral loses.

As usually those contracts are signed for a long time, it is important to consider the contract you sign carefully. Read full post…

Statistics can be deceiving and the states with the most car accidents are not necessarily those with the worst drivers. The population density of a state and other factors can affect the number of accidents on their roadways. States like NJ which are in a trucking corridor will tend to have higher accident statistics than those that do not have a lot of transient traffic. A 2010 study by the Daily Beast published in U.S. News found the state with the worst drivers, if not the greatest number of accidents.

The Study Parameters

Since reporting of fatal crashes is uniform between states, only fatal accidents were used in the study. The study used averages of the number of licensed drivers in each state vs. the number of accidents that occurred in order to be fair when comparing large states like California to smaller states like Delaware and Rhode Island.

OFT (Office of Fair Trading) worked as a Consumer watch dog and traced down the main factors behind these soaring premium rates. It did an investigation while working with Ministry of Justice and FSA. The final judgment will be out till December. But we have a few tit-bits of the investigation.

As a matter of fact, the main reason behind the hike in premium rates is the risk involved in covering young drivers and there fragile customer loyalty.Evidence suggests that Technology can help overcome this situation and be a savior for the young generation. Telematics also known as Black Box or Clear Box can be used in cars to monitor the driver’s record. This is a gadget smaller than a smart phone that can be installed in the dashboard of a car. This will monitor driving style, and assess their performance on different parameters such as the time of day traveled, speed (most important), acceleration, braking, distance traveled and even number of accidents.

Clear Box will also encourage young drivers to drive safely and less aggressively. I
