Other than insurance agents, no one relishes discussing the gloomy topic of life insurance and the tragic event of their own death. However, the simple morbid truth is everyone dies and having life insurance can prevent additional heartache to those you leave behind.

Currently, 56% of Britons don’t have any form of life insurance. Many quote a lack of funds as being the primary reason for forgoing this type of insurance. This response is hardly surprising seeing as personal debt figures have never been so high and the cost of living seems to forever be on the rise. It seems every UK household is looking to tighten the purse strings and save those valuable pennies. So how important is life insurance and is it genuinely worth it?

In it’s basic form, life insurance is financial protection for your nominated beneficiaries in the event of your death.

Life insurance is a necessity that should be seriously considered if you have dependents who, should you die, would suffer financially or materially in either the foreseeable or distant future.

Commercial car insurance offers protection for the business vehicles. If your company owns a fleet of vehicles, you need to buy fleet insurance. The number of vehicles covered in the fleet insurance differs from various insurance companies. Fleet insurance is cheaper compare to personal automobile. Commercial auto insurance does not offer protection for personal auto insurance policy. If your company own vehicles, you need to purchase insurance because of the requirement set by the motor vehicles department.

Finding Glasgow car insurance that would cost you a reasonable amount of money and carry good coverage can be pretty hard. Why? Because all the new cars that you see on the road bring additional risk to insurance companies and it’s the consumer who pays for increasing numbers or insurance claims and additional services costs. Sure, sounds quite unfair but it’s the way the things are in the car insurance business and there’s no way to go around that.

Sure, many car owners think that dropping car insurance altogether is the only option they are left with. And some people even drop insurance coverage on their vehicles just for the sake of saving money. Of course, it’s not very bright to do things like that because it is first of all illegal. Driving a car without minimum car insurance coverage is a legal offense in UK and you can face substantial fines and license suspension for that. Read full post…

Imagine that your child is responsible for an auto accident resulting in damage to other people and property. To a large extent that is not within your control. You have of course made certain that he is covered by insurance. That is the law of the land.

However it is impossible to know in advance the actual extent of the claim that may be made, and you could be in the position of having used up your standard insurance policy limit without having paid for the whole of a justified claim. The other party may suffer serious injuries, and it is bad enough to know that one has caused injury, without the guilt of being unable to compensate the victim of the accident adequately for the expense that will cause.

An economical way of protecting yourself against such a personal claim against your family, which could have disastrous results, is to take out an umbrella policy. Read full post…

The long summer break is looming – with at least six weeks freedom from school for the kids, but a headache for parents ahead. However, there are ways to make it less of a strain on your pocket whether you’re home or away.

For instance, think about how to save money when you’re on holiday. You’ve booked the flights and the accommodation. You’ve even bought the new swimsuit and the sunscreen. But have you taken out holiday insurance? As more people these days make their own travel arrangements these days rather than buying a packaged holiday, it’s all too easy to forget to buy cover.

Travel insurance isn’t expensive and it’s a false economy to attempt to do without it. The best policies will cover you for independent holidays either as standard or as an option. Ideally, you should buy travel insurance as soon as you pay for your break – but better late than never. If you’re planning several trips this year, consider annual cover: it may end up cheaper than buying single trip policies.
